A Grandfather's Heart: After receiving a teenage heart that doctors said would only last five years due to his age, a grandfather lived not just five years, but twelve years beyond their prediction. God had it under control.
Three Children, Three Miracles:
We must remember to tell God thank you because He is worthy. It doesn't matter how you might be feeling - He's still worthy. It doesn't matter what you're going through - He's still worthy. Even when it seems like there's nothing left, He's still worthy and He can heal no matter what.
When facing stage 3B breast cancer (the stage right before terminal), doctors initially withheld the diagnosis because they knew the family were people of faith and didn't want them to give up. The message is clear: do not give up on God. Continue to hold on to what He said. Continue to hold on to His promises.
Don't give up on God because He won't give up on you. If you call on the name of Jesus, He's going to come see about you. He's going to bring you out.
Even in the darkest moments - standing on the edge of a freeway bridge, feeling like family would be better off without you - God can intervene. In that moment of despair, God's voice can break through: "You were born for this moment to bring me glory."
What seemed like a moment of defeat became a moment of ministry, leading to someone else accepting Jesus. From that day forward, the commitment becomes clear: do whatever it takes to make sure everybody knows about the one true living God.
This week, challenge yourself to actively brag on God. Think back over your life and identify the specific ways He has delivered you, healed you, and provided for you. Don't let the busyness of life cause you to forget His goodness.
Make it a daily practice to tell God "thank you" - not just for the big miracles, but for the everyday provisions. Remember that your gratitude and testimony can break generational curses and lead others to experience God's love.
Questions for Reflection:
Remember: if He did it before, He can do it again. God is a deliverer, a healer, and He deserves all the glory for what He has done, is doing, and will do in your life.
